Author Description Adriaan van Dis is a Dutch writer, journalist and TV presenter, who debuted as writer in 1983 with the novel <i>Nathan Sid</i>. That same year he debuted as a TV presenter as host for the book talkshow <i>Hier is... Adriaan van Dis</i>. The show lasted until 1992 and was repeated once in 2013 in honor of the Dutch book week and every year since, once a year during the Dutch book week. In 2017 he said that it was the last show unless he would be able to get a very special writer in the programme. He succeeded and interviewed Stephen Fry in March 2018 in what will probably be the last <i>Hier is... Adriaan van Dis</i>
