Author Description Dutch writer of children's books and regional novels, <br /><br />De Vries is mostly known for his two books about Bartje Bartels a boy who lives in Drenthe, a rural province in the Northern part of the Netherlands.<br /><br />After the second world war he wrote a youth novel about the Dutch resistance during the German occupation.
